Elementary Education Curriculum (Grades K-5)

Our curriculum for elementary students prioritizes the foundational skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Teachers employ various teaching strategies to cater to each student's preferred learning style. Science and history lessons focus on experiential learning and reading comprehension. Assignments primarily involve pencil and paper tasks.

Math: We provide a comprehensive math program, supplemented with additional resources to support learning.

Reading: Our reading program emphasizes comprehension and fluency through engaging texts. Phonics and reading fluency are reinforced with additional resources. Writing assignments enhance sentence construction, inference skills, and comprehension.

Writing: We focus on developing handwriting skills in grades K-2, utilizing effective techniques. Cursive writing is introduced in 3rd grade or earlier, depending on individual student needs.

Science and History: These subjects are integrated into our curriculum, allowing students to explore various topics through hands-on activities, videos, and art projects. Project-based learning facilitates learning experiences that develop important skills such as fine motor skills, listening, teamwork, and task completion.

Lessons for this age group are designed to be concise, lasting no more than 20 minutes, with regular movement breaks to ensure an engaging learning environment. We believe in the power of hands-on learning and incorporate art activities to further enhance fine motor skills, listening abilities, teamwork, and the ability to follow directions.

Middle School Education Curriculum (Grades 6-8)

Our middle school curriculum is carefully designed to provide a well-rounded education that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning. We strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Math: Our math program combines various resources to provide a comprehensive learning experience. We focus on developing mathematical skills through engaging activities and lessons.

Reading: Middle school students will explore a curated selection of 7 books throughout the academic year. These books will be thoroughly discussed and analyzed in the classroom. Additionally, students will be assigned home reading and expected to complete an end-of-book project that reflects their understanding and insights. There is more information down below.

Grammar/Writing: Our language arts curriculum integrates elements from reputable sources and focuses on grammar exercises, spelling practice, and various writing assignments, including essays, creative writing, and research-based projects.

Science: In the 2023-2024 school year, students will explore Life Science through hands-on experiences and the development of scientific inquiry skills. They will have the opportunity to conduct experiments and enhance their scientific report-writing skills.

History: Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, students will study World Geography as part of their history curriculum. They will engage with a comprehensive curriculum that covers global geography, cultures, and historical contexts.

The reading list for the 2023-2024 school year includes a variety of accessible formats such as hardcover, paperback, library copies, audiobooks, graphic novels, and junior-level books. The books on the list are "Wonder" by PJ Palacio, "The Beatryce Prophecy" by Kate DiCamillo, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl, "Holes" by Louis Sachar, "Spirit Bear" by Ben Mikaelsen, "A Year Down Yonder" by Richard Peck, and "Number the Stars" by Lois Lowry.

High School Curriculum

In addition to the academic subjects, our high school courses foster an interactive and engaging learning environment. Students will have the opportunity to cultivate important life skills, including effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and time management. We believe in providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in both academics and their future endeavors.

Math: Our comprehensive math program includes a variety of resources to support students' learning. We incorporate a combination of materials that cover key math concepts, problem-solving skills, and practical life skills.

Literature/Grammar/Writing: In the upcoming school year, high school students will engage in a stimulating American Literature curriculum. They will explore a diverse range of literary works, including short stories, poems, and novels, fostering critical thinking and analysis. Additionally, students will enhance their writing skills through various assignments, such as research papers.

History: Throughout the academic year, high school students will delve into the captivating realm of American History. They will study significant events, figures, and themes that have shaped our nation, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared past.

Science: The focus of the science curriculum for high school students will be Biology. Students will delve into the fascinating world of living organisms, exploring concepts such as cell biology, genetics, and ecosystems. They will engage in hands-on experiments and develop essential scientific skills.

Hybrid Program

Our Tuesday/Thursday Hybrid Program is designed to provide additional support for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade who may benefit from extra assistance but do not have autism diagnoses to meet insurance eligibility requirements.

Program Hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Targeted Grades:
● Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
● 3rd through 5th Grade
● 6th through 8th Grade

Description: In our Tuesday/Thursday program, students receive personalized support in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our dedicated educators and support staff are committed to helping students reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Friday Enrichment Program
Fridays

Our Friday Enrichment Program is designed to complement our existing offerings and provide families with the flexibility to extend their child's learning experience. Whether your child is enrolled in our Tuesday/Thursday program or seeking additional educational opportunities, our Friday program offers a diverse range of enriching activities and experiences.

Program Hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Description: The Friday Enrichment Program is tailored to meet the needs and interests of students across various grade levels. From Kindergarten through 8th grade, our program provides a stimulating learning environment where students can explore new subjects, develop important skills, and foster creativity.

Key Features:
● Multisensory Learning: Our curriculum incorporates hands-on, interactive activities to engage students and enhance their understanding of core concepts.
● STEAM Exploration: Students participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
● Project-Based Learning: Through project-based learning experiences, students collaborate, innovate, and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.
